Applied Management Insights draws in part from a substantial archive of historical management material acquired and published by Eric Steele and his family in the early 1990s through the former National Association for Management.
The original Applied Management newsletter continued for several years after the acquisition and included work from multiple contracted writers, including management professors and other contributors.
The modern project is not simply republishing those newsletters. The archive is being used as a source reservoir: enduring management ideas can be extracted, shortened, segmented, updated, and reinterpreted for managers working in an AI-enabled environment.
